Richard Hamilton received his BSc Life Sciences degree from McMaster University, Hamilton Ontario in 2014. He is currently pursuing a second undergrad degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering in which he is expected to graduate 2018 from the same university as his first degree. Richard has been apart of the McMaster EcoCAR3 team since 2014, the inauguration year of the team; and he is currently the Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team lead. Richard has worked on image processing and target detections on monocular and stereo images for the team’s ADAS design. Through the summer of 2017, Richard also worked on a research project at McMaster Automotive Resource Centre modelling and simulating autonomous-capable electric vehicles. Richard is also president and co-founder of a non for profit organization known as Mathstronauts, which provides grade 6 to 8 students with STEM education through engineering projects.
