Dr. Mladen Terzic

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Short Biography

Mladen Terzic received the B.Eng., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Faculty of Electrical engineering, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, in 2007, 2009 and 2015, respectively. He has worked as a Teaching and research Assistant at department of Power Converters and Drives, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, from 2007 to 2015. From the January 2016 he has become Assistant Professor at the same department. He taught several courses related to electrical machines, transformers and inductors. During his research he took a part in many industrial projects in the field of electrical machines. His main focus was on the design and optimization of induction motor with special, low inertia rotor configuration, as well as switched reluctance motor (SRM) design. He successfully leaded one part of industrial project in the cooperation with the Hanon Systems Company from Kerpen, Germany from 2013 to 2015, which was related to the analysis and design of SRM for automotive application. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) where he continues to work on analysis and design of electrical machines, especially SRM, for the various automotive applications.
