Short Biography

Dr. Gehan Selim received an Honours Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2004, where she ranked fourth on her class. She received a Master’s degree in Speech Processing also from Cairo University in 2008. She then traveled to Canada where she earned a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Queen’s University, Kingston, in 2015. She was then appointed as a Post-Doctoral Fellow also at Queen’s University for the academic year of 2015/2016, where her duties included conducting research and teaching a graduate course. She is currently appointed as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, for the academic year of 2016/2017. Her main research interests include model driven development, formal verification and testing of model transformations, and safety-critical systems.
